On Saturday a boy, who had been sent by his master to one of the banks with an order for £33, having received the money, was returning, and on his way back he called at a stall to purchase some things which he had been desired to do. On paying for the goods, however, he unwittingly drew out and dropped the £33, and did not discover the mistake till some time afterwards. Information of the loss was given at the police-offices, and those active officers, M’Levy and Mulholland, succeeded in discovering a boy, who is suspected of having seen the money fall and of picking it up. A woman, a relation of the boy’s, is also in custody ; but we believe no part of the money has been recovered.—Glasgow Argus. 1838
